seeds and harvest
The orphanage has been working towards self-sufficiency for a while now. They grow their vegetables in the garden they cultivate themselves, and get eggs from the chicken they take care of.

gracias a las pequeñas iniciativas que vamos llevando a cabo, podemos ayudar a que los nenes del orfanato que no están apadrinados y no van a la escuela también reciban clases en el propio centro.
aunque el dinero no llega para poder mantener el salario de las educadoras durante todo el curso, se han podido comprar libros para que así los niños puedan seguir avanzando incluso cuando las profesoras no están.

unfortunately only a few of them have been sponsored and are attending school, but because of other initiatives we are launching, we are also able to support education in the center.
we are not always able to maintain the two educator's salary throughout the year, but books have been bought so the children can continue their courses even when the teachers cannot be there.

Muchas gracias a todos los que han colaborado en esta iniciativa para conseguir fondos para los niños del orfanato.

A través de la página web conseguimos 1160euros (el resto lo puse ficticiamente
para rescatar lo demás) + otros 440 de donaciones fuera de la web con este
mismo fin.. Con lo que en total se recaudaron 1600euros!
El proyecto inicial era bastante más ambicioso, pero no pasa nada.. El dinero les hace mucha falta y aunque no dispongamos de lo necesario para hacer la ampliación de instalaciones que planteaba, este dinero les servirá para poder comprar agua y comida para unos meses..
Somos pocos y al final podemos hacer poquito, pero creo que lo más importante es que

crowdfunding for Shanzu
For the last year and a half donations have started to bring changes in these kids' lives... Electricity, food, and even school for some of them...
But unfortunately there is still a long way to go...
The goal is now to try to improve their living conditions a little; so 4 kids won't have to share a bed or they can have a decent space to eat..
To do so, I have started a "crowdfunding project", to get the funds to improve the state of the building and also build a separate space to be used as a day center for the orphans and the other kids who attend the orphanage for food, lessons and adult supervision during the day.
To do all that we will need 5000euros (6500USD) and the way crowdfunding works is that you either get funded 100% of the project or you don't get anything at all... so it is key to get as much people as possible to donate!

Crowdfunding ( web Lanzanos)
QUEDAN POCOS DIAS! Otra vez a la carga con una nueva modalidad recaudadora para ayudar a los nenes de Shanzu... Ahora a través del crowdfunding, que viene a ser una forma organizada de pedir dinero a los de siempre, y de paso a las almas caritativas que surfean por la red dispuestos a ayudar a aquellos que necesitan ayuda..
Finalmente pasamos la fase de la votación y ya tenemos el proyecto en condiciones de intentar ser financiado por conocidos y desconocidos con ganas de ayudar a los niños de Shanzu.
Ahora tenemos 50 días para conseguir 5000 euros..
